Beach weddings are something that you need to plan for. You may not live near a beach or the destination wedding spot that you chose, and will have to do many of the things from far away. Planning ahead of time, doing most of the things at your home location will save you a lot of money in the long run. The more things that you do the more money you will save.
So what can you do from a different city and still continue to plan your beach wedding?
Make your beach wedding favors. You can buy and create your favors and still be able to take them to the destination wedding that you are going to. This by far is the cheapest way to do it. If you are flying to your wedding, and bringing the favors you will want to consider that when choosing the easiest favor to bring on the plane with you. You may want to make something that is easy to pack and may lay flat. There are many beach wedding favors that you can take along with you that your guests will love.
You can create the wedding invitations and get them ready to send out. These can be done anywhere, and you don’t have to be at the destination spot to do this.
What you must be at the location for:
Meet with the minister that will be marrying you. You want to meet them in person, and not just choose someone out of the phone book.
Choose the venue if you are going to have the reception inside or at another location. You will have to go and check everything out so that you can plan. When checking out the places – bring a long a digital camera so that you can take photos of everything so that planning is easier.
Choosing the food for the wedding. This would include the cake. You will want to be able to sample many different types of cakes before you make your selection for your perfect wedding cake.
While visiting your destination wedding spot check out the spot, and look for a close alternate spot if you are having a beach wedding so that you can move indoors in case of in climate weather. You can never predict the weather, hopefully your wedding day will be bright and sunny, but that is not always guaranteed.
If you are having a lot of out of town guests coming to the wedding, then you will also want to check on hotels, and motels in the area and get the rates and availability for your guests and yourself. If you are having a wedding cruise, you will also want to make sure that the guests you invite, that aren’t taking the same cruise will have a place to stay.
With proper planning, you can have a great wedding without a lot of stress at any of the popular destination wedding spot that you choose.
